King Frederik the Ninth’s Merit Award
On Tuesday 20th September 2011 H.R.H. Prince Henrik, who is the chairman of the committee for King Frederik the Ninth’s Merit Award, gave the merit award to Managing Director Peter Laursen and senior consultant Ib Laursen at Fredensbog Castle.
The award is given in recognition of the company’s long-standing progress in the export markets; Norway, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Austria, Switzerland and Holland among others.
“The merit award is a pat on the back for our company. We have worked determinedly on increasing the export for many years because the Danish market has got tougher. Norway, Sweden and Germany have not been affected as much by the crisis, therefore we see a lot of opportunities in those markets. We have succeeded in achieving good results for a number of years. This year our turnover has increased by 20% compared to last year,” says founder and former managing director in the company, Ib Laursen, who works as a senior consultant for the company.
The Chamber of Danish Trades and Crafts nominated Ib Laursen ApS for the prestigious award.
With the award you also get a certificate and a sculpture.

5 Danish companies received King Frederik the
Ninth’s Merit Award, including Ib Laursen ApS. |
