WELCOME TO IB LAURSEN
Ib Laursen ApS designs and sells home and garden decor, matching the Nordic design tradition, to retailers all over the world. Our product range is wide and offers a great number of possibilities in creating a unique and cosy atmosphere, both inside and outside.
A great deal of the product range is designed in-house, inspired by fairs, flea markets and tours abroad and are combined to 4 collections per year. The products are manufactured by carefully selected suppliers in Asia and shipped from the head office in Ribe to our retailer network all over Europe.
Ib Laursen ApS was founded as a retail shop in 1971 by Ib Laursen but has since developed into being one of Scandinavia’s biggest wholesale suppliers of decor. The 9.000 m² of office, showroom and storage buildings of the company are beautifully situated on the outskirts of Denmark’s oldest town, Ribe.
In 2007, Peter Laursen took majority control after a long-planned generational handover and was subsequently appointed CEO after his father, Ib Laursen. The main objective continues to be constant development and being ahead in terms of design, quality and service.
Ib Laursen ApS has sales representatives/agents in Denmark, Norway, England, Germany and Holland and about 50 employees at the headquarters in Ribe, all eager to service the still growing retailer network.
A WALK THROUGH MEMORY LANE
The firm’s story has its beginnings in a little shop in the heart of Denmark’s oldest town, Ribe, and elements of IB LAURSEN’s logo precisely reflect our proud origin near the stormy west coast, right in the middle of the mudflats. Over the years, the firm has become known around the world as IB. Therefore, the name has been given a prominent placing in our logo. We look forward to, over the coming pages, to take you with us on a journey through time, place, and tendencies. A journey back to where it all started, back in 1971, and forward to the present – with a focus on the company and the family.
Have a pleasant journey!
